Substitute Food Service Helper - 2026-2027 School Year

The Bloomfield School Distrcit is looking for dependable, friendly Substitute Food Service Helpers to join our school nutrition team on an on-call, as-needed basis. In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to students in a welcoming environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a flexible schedule that aligns with the school calendar.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Helping prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to the students.

  • Keeping the kitchen and cafeteria clean, safe, and organized.

  • Washing dishes and helping with the post-lunch cleanup.

  • Being a positive, welcoming face for the students as they come through the lunch line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, portioning, and serving of school meals (breakfast and lunch).

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining area in compliance with health regulations.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with dishwashing and cleanup.

  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

16.00 per hour
