The Bloomfield School Distrcit is looking for dependable, friendly Substitute Food Service Helpers to join our school nutrition team on an on-call, as-needed basis. In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to students in a welcoming environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a flexible schedule that aligns with the school calendar.
Helping prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to the students.
Keeping the kitchen and cafeteria clean, safe, and organized.
Washing dishes and helping with the post-lunch cleanup.
Being a positive, welcoming face for the students as they come through the lunch line.
Assist with the preparation, portioning, and serving of school meals (breakfast and lunch).
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining area in compliance with health regulations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with dishwashing and cleanup.
Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
A Positive Attitude: Ability to greet students with a warm smile and provide a welcoming cafeteria experience.
Thrives under Pressure: Ability to handle a fast-paced environment efficiently during peak serving times.
Strongly Organized: Excellent organizational skills to keep workstations clean, stocked, and running smoothly.
